Living room spring decorations
Spring is the time to renew your living room. After the long winter days give the nod to spring with these simple ideas that give you the feeling of freshness!
Remove those heavy window treatments and lighten up with light coloured woven blinds, drapes or let the sunshine in with nothing on your windows. You may need a roller shade to use at night if you are not in a private area. How about your furniture arrangement? Rearrange your furniture so that the conversation area faces your windows. You may get a newly formed crocus peaking its top out from the snow. You should also get your rugs cleaned or pull out those sisal rugs. Rugs with lighter tones, florals or light geometric might be the answer. Change your sofa pillows and throw rugs to lighter, casual colours. Lime greens, oranges, reds, pinks, and aqua all look spectacular mixed with ivories and chocolates.
Remove your fireplace mantle and show simplicity at its finest with a bouquet of tulips, a bird’s nest nestled under a glass cloche, and a stack of gardening books. Mix in a few coloured tealight and taper candles for some added sparkle in the evening. Once you are done with the fireplace, empty out the logs and clean them.
Give your coffee and end tables a fresh look. Remove the stacks of books and clutter and go simple! A floral arrangement on the coffee table and a new spring decorating magazine are all you need. For the top of an entertainment centre, I like to place an urn filled with a trailing ivy plant, a stone bird, a bird’s nest, and a stack of wicker suitcases. If you don’t have wicker suitcases, try using a stack of wicker baskets, picnic baskets, or even a wicker charger propped up on an easel. Don’t be left behind. Be the first to achieve the best out of the above living room spring decorations ideas.
